The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off back-to-back tough losses against strong conference rivals.

They cannot afford to make that three in a row, but the setting is far from ideal right now.

The Eagles will hit the road to face the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field, and they’ll do it with Jalen Hurts at far less than 100%.

The talented QB has been through a rough week, first going through some basic drills to help him fall without fumbling and then reportedly getting ill.

He’s been downgraded to questionable ahead of Monday night’s matchup, with Marcus Mariota taking over if he’s unable to go.

In the latest edition of “The Carton Show,” Craig Carton jokingly stated that perhaps Hurts got sick after doing all those drills, to which former Super Bowl champion Victor Cruz simply stated that if he didn’t want to do those drills, he should just take care of the football.

It might sound blunt or harsh, but that’s just the reality.

Hurts is too good a player to continue struggling with simple aspects of the game, and the Eagles simply cannot afford to keep making avoidable mistakes at this point in the season.

The Eagles need to make the most of the Dallas Cowboys’ loss to the Buffalo Bills to secure their fate in the NFC East.
