The New York Mets and Boston Red Sox continued their three-game weekend series on Saturday night at Fenway Park.

New York had claimed the first game of the doubleheader, but fell short in the nightcap.

Prior to the second game of the series, the Mets star shortstop provided some wholesome content when he visited a young girl in the stands on the third base side of the field.

The girl was being held by her father, who donned a Red Sox cap.

Lindor was nice enough to talk to the young fan and even gave her a baseball.

Lindor also gave her some advice, to be the best Red Sox fan she possibly could.

SNY, the TV home of the Mets, posted the video of this touching interaction on Twitter.

The Mets star shortstop certainly made this young fan’s night at Fenway Park.

The girl’s name was Ava.

She was a little shy and even looked away from Lindor for a moment as she rested her head on her dad’s shoulder.

However, that didn’t stop Lindor from making her night.

He then delivered his message, telling her to be the best Red Sox fan ever.

All the fans around Ava and her father watched in amusement as Lindor gave her a gift of a lifetime.

We can only hope she took Lindor’s advice and is set to become the best Red Sox fan ever.

Either way, she received a generous gift from the Mets shortstop, and all the fans in her section were enjoying every bit of it.
