The word around the league is that the Phoenix Suns are looking to waive Chris Paul.
This led to league-wide speculation about his future, whether he’d join LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers or head back to the Los Angeles Clippers.
That’s why Suns’ new coach Frank Vogel had to make it loud and clear that they have not waived CP3 yet.
He stated that he’s got an immense amount of respect for him and called him one of the greatest winners in NBA history, praising him for his toughness and IQ.

Vogel also lauded Paul’s impact on the team over the past couple of years and added that he’s looking forward to the opportunity of working with him, although he did admit that the team is looking at every possible option to improve the roster.
Paul is far from done, and the Suns were up on the Denver Nuggets before he pulled that hamstring.
There’s a chance that they could’ve beaten them with a healthy Chris Paul, although that’s just wishful thinking at this point, mostly because Paul hasn’t been healthy in the playoffs for years now.
He’s obviously aging and is due to make an astronomically high salary, which could be a problem in this new CBA.
That’s why the Suns need to try and figure a way out to bring him back on a lesser deal so they can add more depth to their roster.
If not, it won’t be long before he finds a new home in the league.
