The Phoenix Suns led the San Antonio Spurs by as many as 20 points.

They were up 18 at halftime and still up 13 by the end of the third quarter.

In fact, they led for almost the entire game.

Kevin Durant failed to box out Victor Wembanyama on a put-back.

Durant got stripped after a bad inbound pass, and the Spurs took the lead.

Following the loss, coach Frank Vogel was livid at the officials, criticizing them for their no-call and stating that Durant was fouled in that late play (via Trevor Booth and ClutchPoints).

“They fouled (Kevin Durant). The refs didn’t call it.”

Frank Vogel did NOT hold back on apparent late game missed call.

Actually, the strip seemed clean, and not even Durant complained afterward.

It’ll be interesting to see the league’s last two-minute report and whether the referees agree with his assessment or not.

But even if that’s true, that doesn’t erase the fact that they blew a 20-point lead at home and made three crucial mistakes within the final six seconds of the game.

One single play can determine the outcome of a close game, but this game wasn’t close at all.

The Suns crumbled late and failed to execute; it happens, and that’s entirely on the coach.

Vogel could’ve just given props to a hard-fighting Spurs team that never waived the white flag, and this wasn’t a good look at all.
