The Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024 included one of the greatest San Francisco 49ers of all time.
Legendary linebacker Patrick Willis finally got his gold jacket, but he’s stayed close to the organization he spent his entire career with.
That’s why Fred Warner tries to pick his brain often and learn as much from him as he possibly can.
Even so, despite being close to him, he’s still starstruck by him.
Talking to Kay Adams for her Up & Adams show, the All-Pro linebacker admitted that he’s chasing Willis and trying to be as good and impactful as he was, not only for the team but for the league as a whole.
“I’m still starstruck every single time it’s insane…I’m just picking his brain about anything I can,” Warner said.

Truth be told, he’s most definitely on the right path.
The former No. 11 pick spent his entire eight NFL seasons as Niner, logging five first-team All-Pro selections and seven Pro Bowls.
Warner, on the other hand, has been deemed the best off-ball linebacker in the league over the past couple of years, and he’s made it to three Pro Bowls and three first-team All-Pros in six years out of BYU.
The Niners currently boast one of the best defenses in the game, and while plenty of that has had to do with the elite defensive coordinators they’ve had during Kyle Shanahan’s tenure in charge, Warner also deserves plenty of credit.
With Willis’ tutelage and hoping to avoid injury, there’s no reason to believe he won’t finish his career wearing a golden jacket as well once it’s all said and done.
