The Golden State Warriors were in a slump for the majority of the 2023-24 NBA season.
However, the organization has seemingly found its footing this season over the last 10 games or so.
The Warriors have a solid 8-2 record in the time frame and are currently on a three-game winning streak as well.
A key reason behind the instant turnaround for the Warriors is none other than the newfound form of team veterans such as Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins.
In fact, Gary Payton II openly gave credit to Thompson and Wiggins for the recent hot streak of the team via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.
“Sure enough, they got out of it and accepted the roles and accepted the changes that the coach has made. They have been phenomenal,” Payton II said.

Gary Payton II talked about how Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins have been in serious slumps previously in their respective careers as well.
Rather than demotivating them, Payton II believes the best way to help them in getting back to form is to show support for them.
Payton II concluded by claiming the strategy worked as Wiggins and Thompson have played phenomenally over the past few games.
But at the end of the day, is it really true?
Sure, Wiggins is consistently improving in the regular season and has scored double-digit points in his last five games of the season.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Thompson, who has continued his struggles to shoot consistently.
For what it’s worth, Thompson did have a 35-point performance against the Utah Jazz in his first game off the bench.
But outside of that, Thompson still needs time to get adjusted to his new role with the Warriors.
