For years, Carmelo Anthony was one of the best yet most disrespected players in the entire NBA.

It reached a point where even one of his former coaches took constant shots at him.

George Karl, who coached him with the Denver Nuggets, never shied away from confrontations or controversy.

He reportedly told him that he was overrated and didn’t see him as a featured scorer when he took the reins of the team, and everything went south from there.

However, after years of countless shots at him, Karl has finally decided to make amends.

The former coach took to X to claim that he was done feuding with Anthony, sharing a pic of them together and stating that even though they don’t talk to each other anymore, he’s using his platform to make a positive impact.

In a time of division, where coming together truly matters, I’m done feuding with Carmelo Anthony.

I have tremendous respect for Melo. We don’t know each other now but I hear he’s kicking butt and using his influence for positive impact.

Karl promised that it would all be love for Anthony from his side from now on.

Not so long ago, Karl called Nikola Jokic the greatest No. 15 in Denver Nuggets history and fired multiple shots at Anthony, calling him overrated and whatnot.

Anthony has mostly taken the high road when it comes to coach Karl, rarely engaging or reacting to his comments.

He’s made big strides in the media industry since he walked away from the game.

Hopefully, this u-turn from his former coach will also be an example for the fans who still refuse to give Anthony his flowers despite being one of the greatest scorers the game of basketball has ever seen.
