The Denver Nuggets weren’t recognizable on Monday night.
The reigning NBA champions didn’t come to play.
They struggled to get anything going on offense, couldn’t get stops on defense, and their body language was way off from start to finish.
That’s why, following what could go down as one of their toughest losses in franchise history, former NBA coach George Karl took to Twitter to call them out.
Karl claimed that the Nuggets were humiliated in every aspect of the game — coaching, character, bench, and more.
Then, he took an uncalled-for shot at the Los Angeles Lakers, stating that they were still better than them.
Beaten, if not humiliated, in every part of the game – coaching, character, bench and more.
But they still are a helluva lot better than the Lakers.

Of course, Karl has always been a bit of an instigator, so this should be taken with a grain of salt.
It’s true that the Nuggets didn’t look like the same team they’ve been for years now, and the fact that they couldn’t dominate offensively with Rudy Gobert being out to witness the birth of his son was mind-boggling.
It’s also a fact that they’ve had the Lakers’ number for two seasons now.
Even so, it’s not like the Nuggets have steamrolled past LeBron James and company.
If anything, they’ve known how to rally from behind and seal comebacks and most of their wins have been quite close.
At the end of the day, none of that will matter if they can’t revert this situation and beat the Timberwolves, as both teams would be heading to Cancun.
