George Kittle Makes Strong Statement On 49ers’ Offense

GM Jason Lynch has done a fantastic job in charge of the San Francisco 49ers, at least when it comes to roster-building.

For years, the only thing holding them back was the quarterback position, and they seem to have that figured out now that Brock Purdy is leaving the way.

But more than that, Lynch has given Kyle Shanahan just so many weapons to work with and build his offense around that it’s almost impossible to keep everyone in check.

Recently, star tight end George Kittle pointed that out in a conversation with Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

“It’s like Madden now for Kyle.  Like, he can make up whatever he wants to make up.” Kittle tweeted.

He pointed out that teams simply don’t have enough resources to go against their stacked offense, as there will always be at least one playmaker open.

He recalled that the Pittsburgh Steelers tried to keep him in check by having Minkah Fitzpatrick hound him all over the field, but that meant that they had Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and Christian McCaffrey wide-open in one-on-one situations.

Kittle added that Shanahan can pretty much play real-life Madden with them and build whatever he wants to build, as he has so many gifted and versatile weapons at his disposal.

Samuel is the ultimate dual-threat with his ability to come out of the backfield, but the same can be said of McCaffrey’s pass-catching abilities.

Aiyuk seems poised for a breakout year and he already put the Steelers on notice with his speed and athleticism.

Kittle is also one of the most explosive tight ends in the league when it comes to getting yards after the catch.
