The San Francisco 49ers came close to making another Super Bowl appearance this past year, though injuries derailed any chance of that happening.

Despite humbling bowing out to the Philadelphia Eagles, the 49ers remain one of the biggest threats to come out of the NFC as the team still has plenty of talent on both sides of the field.

Offensively, San Francisco has clarity at the quarterback position as Brock Purdy is listed as the team’s starter.

Purdy will have his full allotment of weapons to utilize, including Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey, and Brandon Aiyuk.

There is also George Kittle who remains an integral part of the offense though he is already dealing with a groin issue ahead of Week 1.

Regardless of his health, Kittle remains motivated to capture his first Super Bowl championship and he revealed what keeps him so focused via Sky Sports NFL.

“I walk past those five Super Bowl trophies every day,” Kittle said. “This team is hungry, this team is motivated.”

The 49ers are one of the most iconic franchises in the NFL and their golden years produced some of the best teams in league history.

Under Kyle Shanahan, San Francisco has remained competitive though they have yet to get over the hump.

Kittle surely feels the pressure of winning in the Bay Area considering the organization’s pedigree but winning a Super Bowl is a lot easier said than done.

Hopefully, the star tight end is able to stay healthy in 2023 as the team will need him if they hope to go all the way.
