The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the race for San Francisco 49ers disgruntled wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
With Aiyuk reportedly deciding between going back to the 49ers on a possible new deal or being traded to the Steelers and signing a major deal there, it might be interesting to hear the opinions of current players.
Current Steelers star wide receiver George Pickens was recently asked about the Brandon Aiyuk rumors by the Pittsburgh media.
“I just be with these guys…I kind of lock in only on the Steelers. I hear about it, but not really indulging it,” Pickens said.

This is a typical answer from a key player on a team that is rumored to be interested in acquiring another big-time playmaker.
If Pickens knew anything deep about the situation, he likely wasn’t going to spill the beans to the media.
There is no doubt that adding Aiyuk could immediately help take Pittsburgh’s offense to another level.
In addition to the 1,000-yard receiver in Pickens, they already have a couple of 1,000-yard scrimmage backs in Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren.
Bringing in Aiyuk could make Mike Tomlin’s offense one of the better overall units in the league, especially if either Russell Wilson or Justin Fields can prove to be a formidable piece of the puzzle under center.
With how good the defense is thanks to the likes of T.J. Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Co., adding another star receiver could be all they need to become real Super Bowl contenders in the AFC.
