It’s no secret that Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in Milwaukee Bucks history.

The fanbase has rallied around him, and he was a big reason for their NBA Finals win in 2021.

Antetokounmpo is on pace to break many franchise records due to the time he is expected to play with the team.

In the Bucks’ game against the Indiana Pacers, Antetokounmpo beat Michael Redd’s single-game points record, scoring 64 in the team’s win.

It didn’t feel that way for a moment, which should have felt impressive and a big compliment to Antetokounmpo’s career as a member of this team.

As Antetokounmpo recanted in a postgame interview shared via the NBA on TNT, the postgame incident regarding the game ball rubbed him the wrong way.

The Pacers tried to take the ball away from Antetokounmpo and the Bucks, a big reason for the postgame extracurriculars.

“I have a ball but I don’t know if it’s the game ball.  It doesn’t feel like the game ball to me.  It feels like a brand new ball..I played 35 minutes today.  I know how the game ball felt,”  Antetokounmpo said.

While Antetokounmpo ended up with a ball, he claimed, “It doesn’t feel like a game ball to me.”

Although this is an accomplishment that Antetokounmpo will remember for the rest of his career, the controversy surrounding the end of the game will leave a sour taste in his mouth.

Fans will be interested to see if there will be any retaliation from either side moving forward, especially if Antetokounmpo believes he has the wrong ball.

They won’t have to wait long from the dramatic side of things, as these two teams are slated to tip off again on January first.
