Thursday night was a night of celebrations for the Milwaukee Bucks.
The team was able to get a win in their first game of the season and they also showed fans what Damian Lillard is capable of.
It was also the night that Giannis Antetokounmpo claimed a spot in history as the Bucks player with the most field goals in team history.
Head coach Adrian Griffin commemorated that achievement following the game, giving Antetokounmpo the game ball.
But Antetokounmpo took the ball, held it, and said, “First win as a head coach,” and handed it right back to Griffin.
The rest of the team then got up and showered Griffin in cheers and water, according to a video shared by the team on Twitter.

Thursday night was the first game that Griffin got to lead the team and he definitely did a good job with it.
Going against the Philadelphia 76ers and their new head coach Nick Nurse, Griffin was able to formulate a plan that allowed both Antetokounmpo and Lillard to shine.
Antetokounmpo ended the night with 23 points and 13 rebounds while Lillard went wild with 39 points and 8 rebounds of his own.
In the end, the game was tight but the Bucks pulled off a 118-117 win.
When Griffin was hired by the team a few months ago, he knew he had a big task ahead of him.
As great as the Bucks are, they have a few problems that need to be worked out if they wish to gain another championship win.
This summer’s addition of Lillard certainly helps their chances but the season is long and all eyes will be on Griffin and what he can do.
