The Milwaukee Bucks have gone 3-5 since Doc Rivers took the reins of the team.

They’re currently third in the Eastern Conference behind the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, despite the subpar record, Giannis Antetokounpmo seems excited about this new era of Bucks basketball.

Following their big win over the Denver Nuggets, the former MVP took to Twitter to make it loud and clear that he’s fully on board with the team right now.

“Love the direction we are heading,” Antetokounmpo said.

The Bucks had a solid record under Adrian Griffin, the second-best in the league, to be more specific.

However, it often seemed like they weren’t living up to their full potential.

The first-year coach had reportedly lost the locker room due to poor communication skills and subpar execution.

Damian Lillard regressed vastly from his days with the Portland Trail Blazers, and their defense had taken a major step back.

Still, their decision to let Griffin go so quickly into his tenure was somewhat shocking.

There have been several doubts about Doc Rivers’ ability to improve this team, though.

He has a long and well-documented history of blowing big leads in the playoffs, and his rotations have often left a lot to be desired.

He signed a four-year contract to stay with the Bucks, and it seems like this might be his final opportunity in the league; he might not get another job if he underperforms in the playoffs again.

At least it seems like he has the full support of his star player.
