The New York Giants could very well be in for another long season during the 2024 NFL campaign as the team has not looked great during preseason.
The Giants are coming off another loss this weekend, this time against the New York Jets in what ended up being a low-scoring affair.
The Giants lost 10-6, though notably head coach Brian Daboll opted to rest most of his regulars as the new season is quickly approaching.
Still, it can’t be encouraging for fans to see the team struggling to move the football as it was reminiscent of how 2023 went.
Adding to the Giants’ woes is the fact that they saw defensive tackle Timmy Horne go down due to a leg injury.
Daboll later confirmed that Horne suffered a torn Achilles tendon and is set to miss the 2024 season entirely via Giants Videos.

Horne was originally an undrafted free agent in 2022 and signed with the Atlanta Falcons where he spent the first two years of his career.
The defensive tackle then ended up with the Giants after they signed him off of Atlanta’s practice squad and was slated to battle for a roster spot this offseason.
Unfortunately for Horne, he’ll either start the year off on injured reserve or more likely be waived with an injury settlement.
Injuries during preseason games are tough blows for teams who are looking to evaluate players who can potentially make an impact, but sadly it seems like this might be it for Horne in New York.
