Several teams across the NFL got better this offseason, and they’re all hoping they will make a serious run at this winter’s Super Bowl.
But few are talking about the New York Giants, even though they made a couple of notable additions this offseason.
In April, they drafted Malik Nabers, a wide receiver out of Louisiana State University who seems to have serious star potential, and they also signed edge rusher Brian Burns.
They will now have an excellent trio of Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Dexter Lawrence on their front seven, but their secondary could use some improvement.
On Friday, per Ian Rapoport, they re-signed cornerback Adoree’ Jackson, keeping him on the roster for a fourth straight season.
Reunion: The #Giants are re-signing old friend CB Adoree’ Jackson, per me and @MikeGarafolo, as his free agency ends right where it began with a 1-year deal.

Jackson first came to New York as a free agent three years ago, and since then, he has posted 23 passes defended, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, three tackles for loss and 136 solo tackles.
It looked like perhaps he was definitely going to be suiting up for another team in 2024, but he will remain in New York for at least one more season.
Given the fact that quarterback Daniel Jones has continued to be an overall disappointment, New York will have to win with defense this season if they are to have any hope of snagging a wild-card playoff spot in an improved NFC.
The Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals all look stronger now than they did in December, and thus the Giants will have to play especially tall to extend their season into mid-January.
