The 2023 NFL offseason has been rather expensive for the New York Giants.
The team has signed Daniel Jones to a multi-year contract extension, and there is a looming extension for Saquon Barkley as well.
In the Giants’ most recent move, they inked Dexter Lawrence to a four-year, $90 million deal.
After this extension was signed, head coach Brian Daboll said that Lawrence is a “good player for us, good leader, good person.”
“Good player for us, good leader, good person – happy for our organization”

Lawrence is a four-year NFL veteran and is now tied to the Giants for another four seasons.
He is coming off a career year, where he totaled 68 tackles and 7.5 sacks.
In a season that Lawrence needed to prove himself to the Giants, he did just that in 2022.
The Giants made the playoffs last year, something that wasn’t expected in Daboll’s first season as head coach.
Jones leapt forward in his production as both a passer and rusher and will look to continue that.
Will the Giants be able to make a deeper run in the postseason this year, knowing the capital they have invested during the offseason?
At least Lawrence and Jones will enter the year with extra motivation in mind.
With any luck, the rest of their teammates will follow suit, making for an exciting push to the postseason.
The NFC East has only gotten stronger throughout the past few years, especially with the rise of the Philadelphia Eagles.
In a difficult division, the Giants will need to stand out, if they want any chance to compete this year.
