Joe Schoen, GM of the New York Giants, is an increasingly popular figure among the New York faithful.

If his appearance at the New York Knicks playoff game is any indication, Giants fans have high hopes for the 2023 season.

The Giants made the playoffs last season and won a game in the process, which was something that wasn’t necessarily expected.

Schoen and his staff have worked tirelessly throughout the offseason to add several pieces to the roster.

Quarterback Daniel Jones was signed to a multi-year contract extension, and the team placed the franchise tag on star running back Saquon Barkley.

During free agency, the Giants further committed to their offense by signing tight end Darren Waller along with veteran receivers Jamison Crowder and Paris Campbell.

They also added a highly-regarded wide receiver prospect, Jalin Hyatt, in the NFL Draft.

Jones has been identified as their franchise quarterback for the foreseeable future, and they have worked tirelessly to build around him.

Will the Giants be able to make their way back into the playoffs this season?

While the Giants have put a significant emphasis on building their roster, the rest of the NFC East has gotten better too.

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a Super Bowl appearance, and the Dallas Cowboys also made the playoffs last year.

While the NFC is far less crowded than the AFC, the Giants find themselves in one of the most difficult divisions in the league.

Schoen and the rest of the front office believe that they have the right pieces in place to succeed.
