Heading into the 2024 NFL season, the New York Giants are one of the teams in the NFC that are desperately hoping to have a bounce-back year after a forgettable 2023 campaign, which was incredibly disappointing after such a solid performance in 2022 with new head coach Brian Daboll leading the way.
Things haven’t gone well for the Giants over the past year or so, with them flaming out last season in epic fashion while looking like one of the worst teams in the conference and then losing superstar running back Saquon Barkley to the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles in NFL free agency.
As if all of that wasn’t bad enough, the quarterback position is shaky at best, with Daniel Jones not looking like a player the Giants can depend on to lead the squad moving forward, which means a change could be coming in the near future.
Along with all their other troubles, Conor Hughes of SNY said he believes a “major issue” with the Giants is at the cornerback position, with no viable second option available.
“The Giants desperately need to figure out what they are going to do at corner opposite Deonte Banks because that is a major issue right now,” Hughes said, via Giants Videos.

If the Giants can’t figure things out in the coming weeks, they could have another rough season, which might result in drastic changes during the following offseason.
Although almost all of the attention is on Jones and his quarterback deficiencies, the Giants clearly have other issues that need to be addressed to get back on track.
