As the NFL heads towards another weekend of preseason action, teams are continuing to make moves to adjust and tweak their rosters.
The New York Giants made a recent move to release a veteran cornerback.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jalen Mills, who was on the NFL’s Injured List with a calf injury was the player that the team released.
“Mills is healthy now and is expecting to draw interest,” Schefter recently posted on social media.

Mills is at the beginning of his ninth NFL season and has been around the block.
The former seventh-round pick out of LSU started 15 games during the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning season back in 2017.
That same season, he recorded a career-high 14 pass deflections and a career-high three interceptions.
After spending the first five seasons of his career in Philly, he joined Bill Belichick in New England for three years.
Now, he is looking for a new team after being released by the team that he signed with back in March.
The Giants may have done Mills a favor considering they are not a contending team, at least on paper.
A team like the Detroit Lions, who recently lost veteran cornerback Emmanuel Moseley to injury, could be a quality option for Mills if they were to show interest.
There aren’t many former Super Bowl champions and All-Americans with experience playing for a coach like Bill Belichick who come along on the free agent market all that often.
Time will tell to see if Mills can find a new home before the regular season comes around.
