The New York Giants have lost a couple of significant contributors on the offensive side of the football this offseason.

They lost Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley to the rival Philadelphia Eagles in free agency.

Additionally, they lost veteran receiver Sterling Shepard to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the 31-year-old spent eight seasons with the team.

So, GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll are continuing to look for help on that side of the ball.

According to NFL.com, the team recently worked out veteran wide receivers Jakeem Grant and Byron Pringle.

Starting with Grant, the former Pro Bowl kick returner is more of a role player than anything else.

In seven NFL seasons, he has a total of 100 receptions for 1,140 yards and seven touchdown catches.

His best receiving season came in 2020 with the Miami Dolphins when he put up 36 receptions for 373 yards and a touchdown.

At 31 years of age, Grant still may have some of his 4.3 speed left but isn’t worth any more than a veteran minimum contract at the moment.

30-year-old Byron Pringle, much like Grant, is a role player who has excellent kick return skills.

The former Super Bowl champion has 91 career receptions for 1,194 receiving yards and nine touchdown receptions in six seasons with his best year coming in 2021 with the Kansas City Chiefs (42 receptions for 568 yards and five touchdowns).

If the Giants were to make the call to sign one of these players, they wouldn’t necessarily become a Super Bowl team.

But, they would bring in some possible play-making ability and experience to help out quarterback Daniel Jones and Co.
