Lonzo Ball is set to return to the Chicago Bulls after two seasons away due to injuries, but just how much is he actually going to play?

It will take Ball time before he’s 100% and ready to participate in every game so many people wonder if he will play the majority of the season.

Speaking on his show, Gilbert Arenas said he’d love to see Ball play in 60 games this year but would accept way less than that.

He even said he’d be happy just to see Ball in every other game.

“Just get through this season for your mental [well-being]. I don’t expect you to come back and be player of the year,” Arenas added.

It’s been a long time since fans have seen Ball play in an NBA game.

He last suited up for the Bulls in January of 2022, before an awful knee injury sidelined him for two seasons.

Since then, Ball has put all of his efforts into getting better but his body hasn’t behaved and he has experienced setback after setback again and again.

Now, all this time later, Ball says he is ready to get going and start playing again.

However, just because Ball is prepared to play doesn’t mean he will be ready to go full throttle, at least not right away.

The Bulls will closely monitor him and see how he is playing and feeling and they will not push him too hard.

This doesn’t mean that Ball can’t help the Bulls.

In fact, they need him now more than ever and are very excited to see him back.
