The Boston Celtics kicked off their offseason with a big swing, trading Marcus Smart to land Kristaps Porzingis.

They’re also reportedly set to sign Jaylen Brown to that huge contract extension worth $295 million across five years, which could severely hamper their salary cap situation next season.

With that in mind, they might not be capable of holding onto Grant Williams, who’s set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.

When asked about that situation, Williams told NBC Sports Boston that he’s ready for whatever happens, stating that the team’s success has always been first and foremost, so he would obviously be glad to be back if Brad Stevens and the organization decide that’s what’s best.

If not, Williams admitted he’d have to transition and get ready to play for whichever team signs him, adding that he hasn’t been focused on that all that much because he trusts his agent to get a deal done.

Williams also talked about his hand surgery, admitting that he was quite anxious because if was the first surgery he had undergone in his career, but he said that he’s going to be back to full strength before training camp and that it was an easy recovery, so there was nothing to worry about.

He is an improved three-point shooter who plays versatile and tough defense, and multiple teams should be more than willing to lure him away from the TD Garden if the Celtics suddenly decide he’s become too expensive for them.
