The Kansas City Royals and Seattle Mariners engaged in a wild battle on Monday night.
It was a game with several twists and turns throughout.
Kansas City busted out of the gates with a five-run outburst through the first six innings and carried a 5-0 lead into the eighth inning.
However, the Mariners fought back, scoring four in the eighth and later taking the lead in the ninth with two runs.
Kansas City wasn’t done though, and they responded with two runs of their own, one of which scored on Dairon Blanco’s game-winning bunt.
On Twitter, MLB analyst Sarah Langs posted a graphic to show just how wild things got in Kansas City on Monday.

The graph shows that for the vast majority of the game, the Royals were in command.
Where things skyrocketed in favor of the Mariners was in the later innings, when they piled six runs on the Royals, showing their trademark resilience and nearly snatching victory out of the jaws of defeat.
But the Royals also didn’t quit, and things skyrocketed in their favor in the bottom of the ninth, as the graph shows.
Baseball is certainly a crazy game with numerous twists and turns that can take place at any given moment.
Such was the case on Monday night as the Royals and Mariners squared off.
In the end, it was the Royals who came out on top, but it was a wild game that could have gone either way, as both teams showed tremendous fight, while also showing just how crazy baseball can be.
