The Buffalo Bills haven’t exactly been the biggest powerhouse in the league for most of their history.

But Josh Allen’s development has turned them into one of the teams to beat, even if inconsistency — or Patrick Mahomes — has gotten in their way to success.

As tough as people are on Allen at times, his numbers have been pretty much spectacular, as shown by a graphic shared by NFL on CBS.

With his three-touchdown performance vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (two pass, one rush), Allen now ranks third in league history in terms of most passing and rushing touchdowns through the first six seasons for a player.

With his 198th career score, Allen is just one touchdown shy of Dan Marino (199) for the second spot and six below Patrick Mahomes (204).

There’s no denying that Josh Allen is one of the most talented and impactful quarterbacks in the league.

He can go toe-to-toe with the top-tier guys when he’s at his best, making plays with his arm and his feet and being just so tough and competitive.

On the flip side, that competitiveness can also lead to plenty of avoidable mistakes from time to time.

He tends to press and force things when things aren’t going his way, and he needs to keep his temper in check to avoid hurting his team.

Still, the numbers don’t lie, and most of the fans who criticize him would definitely rather have him at QB than whoever their teams have, even if they don’t want to admit it.
