Despite their recent primetime loss, the Kansas City Chiefs are still one of the best teams in the NFL.
With Patrick Mahomes under center in this offense, the Chiefs continue to be viewed as Super Bowl contenders every year.
However, Mahomes can only do so much.
A recent graphic shared via the NFL on ESPN highlights the staggering amount of drops the Chiefs have had this season, leading the NFL in this category.

The Chiefs have 26 dropped passes, compared to the next closest team, the New York Jets, with 21.
This was put on full display in their Monday Night Football loss, as Chiefs pass-catchers dropped a total of five balls.
One of the most impactful drops happened late in the fourth quarter.
Marquez Valdez-Scantling beat the Philadelphia Eagles defender on a deep endzone shot, and all he needed to do was catch the ball.
The ball ended up slipping through his fingertips, which ended up being the difference in this game.
For a team that is expected to contend for the Super Bowl this season, drops cannot happen moving forward.
Their pass-catchers will need to get on the same page with Mahomes, hoping to solidify their connection and minimize drops.
Even Travis Kelce, one of the most sure-handed players in the league, had a drop in this game, along with a key red zone fumble.
Luckily for the Chiefs, they still have a few weeks to get right before the playoffs, hoping to iron out any kinks before games truly matter.
