The Los Angeles Dodgers are building an incredible roster this offseason.

It all started when they landed the crown jewel of the offseason in Shohei Ohtani.

His $700 million contract may never be duplicated.

But, the Dodgers also knew they needed to address their starting pitching.

That is why they went out and acquired Tyler Glasnow in a trade.

LA gave Glasnow a new five-year contract and he is expected to help lead their rotation for many years to come.

But, even Glasnow was not enough to make the Dodgers front office satisfied with their rotation.

That is why the signing of Yoshinobu Yamamoto should not come as a surprise.

The Dodgers have already spent over $1 billion this offseason with the addition of Yamamoto.

He received a 12-year, $325 million deal.

The Dodgers’ starting rotation is looking quite impressive heading into next season.

If Walker Buehler can return to full strength this rotation has the potential to be dominant.

Buehler missed all of last season recovering from Tommy John surgery.

Glasnow has always been one of the best pitchers in the league but he struggles to stay healthy for a full season.

He has never had a season throwing over 120 innings.

As for Yamamoto, no one knows exactly what to expect.

But, he was dominant in the Japanese baseball league and many people expect the same in MLB.

There is no doubt the Dodgers should be the favorites to win the World Series in 2024.

Ultimately, they will need to stay healthy to reach their full potential.
