Team USA is currently five games into their exhibition play as they ramp up for the FIBA World Cup, with the team coming out unscathed with a record of 5-0 thus far and some impressive play from players like Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves.

Although it seemed like somewhat of a surprise that Reaves made the Team USA roster under head coach Steve Kerr, the 25-year-old has played exceptionally well during his short time with the team while also making an impression on his teammates and the coaching staff.

On Tuesday, the Lakers showed some love to Reaves on Twitter by putting together a graphic of his stats through the five games he’s played thus far for the United States.

Although these stats won’t blow anyone away, they’re pretty solid for a guy that seemed like he may barely see the floor due to the talent on this squad.

Reaves has been a consistent scoring threat off the bench for Team USA, with the ability to take the ball to the basket and score from beyond the arc, which is abundantly clear as he’s shooting 57.1% from deep.

The up-and-comer seems to be one of the most efficient players on the team and could end up playing a major role on the squad once these games start to mean something when they begin playing in the FIBA World Cup.

Only time will tell if Reaves gets major minutes in the games ahead, but he seems to have the trust of Kerr and his coaching staff, which bodes well for his chances.
