With the NBA offseason well underway for all but the two teams battling it out in the NBA Finals, there’s been much speculation about the potential player movement that could take place this summer in NBA free agency and trades.

One team that is expected to be more active than most is the Atlanta Hawks, who are coming off another disappointing season in which the team failed to make the NBA playoffs and finished the regular season 10 games under .500 with a record of 36-46.

Going all the back to the NBA trade deadline in February, the Hawks were one of the most aggressive teams in the league looking to make a substantial move, with the team shopping star guard Dejounte Murray.

Although the team was linked to the Los Angeles Lakers in a deal involving Murray, nothing came to fruition before the deadline, but talks are expected to ramp back up this summer.

Along with Murray potentially on the move, the Hawks appear to be ready to shop two other notable players, with DeAndre Hunter and Clint Capela expected to be available for trade, according to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints (via Legion Hoops).

Hunter and Capela could draw considerable trade interest on the market, especially if they are added to a potential blockbuster deal with Murray, which could earn the Hawks a significant return.

Only time will tell how things pan out for Atlanta, but it seems safe to say that the Hawks will be mentioned in numerous trade rumors during the offseason.
