Surprisingly, the Atlanta Hawks managed to win the No. 1 pick in the upcoming edition of the NBA Draft.

Unfortunately for them, this isn’t particularly the most stacked or talented draft class, but they should still have plenty of options at their disposal.

A recent report by ESPN reveals that they haven’t been able to workout French star Alexandre Sarr, who’s been projected to go either No. 1 or No. 2 for most of the pre-draft process (Via NBA Central).

The Atlanta Hawks have been unable to bring in Alex Starr for a workout, and Donovan Clingan is a real candidate to go No. 1, per @DraftExpress

The Hawks are reportedly considering getting fellow Frenchman Zaccharie Risacher instead, but there are also rumors of UConn’s Donovan Clingan being in the mix.

GM Landry Fields recently claimed that the Hawks were looking forward to picking at No. 1, but they’ve also hosted multiple prospects outside of that range, so they might be preparing for other scenarios.

There have been rumors that the San Antonio Spurs are looking to trade up to get the first overall selection and pair it with Victor Wembanyama, but talks should gain more traction in the days leading up to the draft.

Sarr is a solid defensive-minded prospect and rebounder who could make an immediate impact at the next level, although his offensive game is quite limited at this point.

Risacher, on the other hand, seems to be a more NBA-ready scorer, a big forward who could play any frontcourt position, including some small-ball center.

As for Clingan, the 7-foot-2 specimen out of UConn has the physical tools to be a dominant rim protector at the next level, although his offense is still a work in progress.
