It has been an interesting season for Josh Richardson and the rest of his Miami Heat.

Richardson has been earning a decent amount of time on the court and has worked hard to become an important part of the team’s rotation.

But he has also been experiencing some issues with the referees.

On Friday night, Richardson opened up about what he considers unfair officiating.

Speaking to the press, via ClutchPoints, Richardson took issue with the flopping calls that he has received over the last few games.

“I’m not usually one to worry about [or comment on] refs but I do think all 3 of my flopping calls are terrible. They’re just not doing a good a very job of being realistic about it,” Richardson said.

Richardson and the refs have been seeing a lot of each other recently.

He has been called for flopping three times during the last few games and has also been fined $2,000 because of this.

He attempted to explain himself on Friday, stating that none of his actions were flops but just natural reactions to being hit by opponents.

The Heat have been having problems lately, losing five of their last seven games, including Friday night’s against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

A few weeks ago, they had an impressive seven-game winning streak but that now feels like long ago.

Richardson has averaged 10.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3 assists per game and has shot an exceptional 46.3% from the field.

He is playing more minutes than he has in years but, sadly, that is being met with more calls by the refs.
