The Miami Heat are coming fresh off an NBA Finals run during the 2022-23 season.

It was a phenomenal achievement as the Heat were the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and shocked the world by making it to the Finals.

Considering the feat, not many expected the Heat to make major changes to its roster for the 2023-24 NBA season.

However, one positive addition to the roster has been the 18th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Speaking of Jaquez, he was among four rookies signed by the Jordan Brand ahead of the upcoming season, as revealed via Nice Kicks on Twitter.

Along with the Heat rookie, the popular sneaker brand also welcomed Jett Howard, Cam Whitmore, and Marcus Sasser to the team.

While none of the rookies have played their first official NBA game yet, they have still impressed many during the NBA preseason.

As for Jaquez, he left many fans dumbfounded by his refined ball-handling and finishing skills despite being a rookie.

It’s always a surprise how the Heat have a special talent to replace their homegrown talent with another player in a matter of months.

Last season, the Heat gave Caleb Martin and Max Strus a pedestal to showcase their talents.

For the upcoming season, Jaquez may get the opportunity to dominate teams as a member of the Heat during the regular season and ultimately the playoffs.

Can the Heat trust the rookie to be a solid player?
