The past few seasons haven’t been the kindest to the Charlotte Hornets.

They have struggled to gain any sort of traction for nearly a decade, as their last playoff appearance was in the 2015-2016 season.

Many believed that Michael Jordan’s presence in the front office would help bring elite players to the organization, but so far, nothing they have done has helped turn the team around.

Even some of the Hornets’ top prospects in recent seasons haven’t panned out as expected, largely due to injuries.

While this has been the case to this point, the Hornets seem committed to their current roster and aren’t willing to throw in the towel just yet.

This was put on full display in Evan Sidery’s recent report, which highlighted the fact that Miles Bridges and the Hornets are both willing to get a deal done.

The Hornets and Miles Bridges have mutual interest on signing a new long-term deal.

Charlotte has prioritized Bridges re-signing as their top priority in free agency.

Bridges was once viewed as a cornerstone of this organization, but his recent off-court issues were a major red flag, putting his future with the team in serious doubt.

However, he has been cleared of all charges and is now ready to compete at a high level.

Bridges doesn’t seem eager to move on from the Hornets, and if he and LaMelo Ball stay healthy, there’s no telling what this team can accomplish in a few years.

It could be a bumpy road for the Hornets, especially in the 2024-2025 season, but with Bridges sticking around, there is reason to believe that the Hornets could compete, in due time.
