Charlotte Hornets head coach Steve Clifford is obviously very frustrated with the state of his team.
He has every reason to be as the Hornets are the 13th seed in the East with a lacking 10-36 record.
Unless something amazing happens, the team will again miss the playoffs and will be toward the bottom of their conference when the season concludes.
Speaking to Jerry Donatien, Clifford had a very telling take on his squad.
“Our problems aren’t their efforts, their work, how much they wanna win. Our problem is that we’re under talented,” Clifford said, via NBACentral.

The team definitely has a lot of promising players on the roster, such as LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges, Brandon Miller, PJ Washington, and others.
Yet they are still struggling to win and have lost their last five games.
The Hornets recently made a pretty big change by parting ways with Terry Rozier, who was sent down to the Miami Heat.
Other reports say that more changes will be coming for the Hornets before the upcoming trade deadline.
What the team could really use is some veteran, healthy players.
Gordon Hayward has been using his experience and expertise to assist the team but has also been hurt often.
There are numerous players throughout the league who could give the Hornets a boost and help them secure some wins.
The players on the team want to win and they are putting in quite an effort so it’s clear that some more things need to change.
Will that be changes to the roster or perhaps changes to the coaching staff?
No one is quite sure what’s ahead for Charlotte but things have been rough for a while now.
