Steph Curry has been one of the most dominant players in the NBA over the past decade.

He has established himself as the greatest three-point shooter in league history, and will almost certainly be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Curry continues to play at an elite level, even though he is 36 years old.

While we now know what Curry has done throughout his career, it is interesting to hear from some of the players who encountered Curry during his rise to what he’s become.

Iman Shumpert recently talked about this in a podcast shared by “All the Smoke Productions” on Twitter.

“I feel like when you came to the Garden, and I let Raymond Felton’s pride get in the way, and he had 50,” Shumpert said.

That’s when he knew Curry was going to become something special, as he developed a rare sense of confidence at a younger age.

Shumpert had a successful career that started with the New York Knicks and later went on to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, and Brooklyn Nets.

He and Curry faced off plenty of times during his time on the Cavaliers, so he became more and more familiar with his game as they had more encounters.

Shumpert certainly respects what Curry has accomplished to this point, but as someone who was tasked with guarding him, he also dealt with his fair share of frustrations at times.

It will be interesting to see when Curry decides to call it a career, and if anyone will be able to eclipse his elite shooting ability.
