The NFL Draft is less than two weeks away.
This is one of the most exciting events of the NFL offseason, as it allows teams to add youth to their roster and fill in holes at various positions.
The quarterback position has been among the most discussed throughout the offseason, as several teams are in need of a new signal-caller.
While turning to a rookie to lead a particular team doesn’t always work out, teams are getting more and more desperate to succeed at the position, and they might have to lean on one of these young players to get the job done.
The first three teams on the board are seemingly slated to take quarterbacks, including the New England Patriots, who have the No. 3 overall pick.
Jeremy Fowler recently appeared on “Unsportsmanlike Radio,” where he outlined his predictions for the Patriots based on the information he has received to this point.
“I think, based on asking around, that Maye would have the edge there. Most teams I talk to believe he could be the guy, but McCarthy has grown in this process. The smoke is real,” Fowler said.

Fowler indicated that the initial conversation leaned towards Drake Maye getting drafted by the Patriots, but there has been traction for J.J. McCarthy lately.
McCarthy is one of the most polarizing players in the class, as some teams think he’s worthy of a top-5 pick, while others are certain he is more of a second-round talent.
No matter where McCarthy and Maye end up, their careers will both be monitored closely, especially the player who goes to the Patriots to try and fill in a Tom Brady-sized hole.
