The Los Angeles Lakers were rumored to be after multiple players ahead of the trade deadline.
The day passed, and they didn’t make a single move.
That’s a bit of a surprise, especially considering how much LeBron James seemed to be pushing for them to make some trades.
Notably, Lakers insider Jovan Buha told Jason Timpf of The Volume that James is now frustrated with the team.
“It’s clear (LeBron) wanted them to do something … and he’s been a little upset about it”

James made it loud and clear in every single way possible that he wanted the Lakers to upgrade their roster, yet they didn’t.
Buha stated that James couldn’t care less about a 2029 first-round pick because he wants to win now and knows they needed to maximize this title window while he still has a chance.
LeBron will be 40 next season and in his 22nd campaign, so there’s literally no guarantee that he’s going to be able to stay healthy, which is why this might as well be his final chance to win another NBA championship.
James recently made the rounds by stating that he didn’t know what he was going to do with his player option for next season.
There have been multiple rumors about him opting out to sign with whichever team takes Bronny in the upcoming NBA Draft, as he’s always dreamt of playing side-by-side with his firstborn.
Should that be the case, then props to the Lakers front office for not overhauling their roster for a slim chance to win a ring, as they now need to plan for the post-LeBron James future.
