For the second time in the Steve Kerr era, the Golden State Warriors wanted to pull off a league-shattering move.

According to a report by ESPN, they actually tried to pursue LeBron James in a trade before the deadline.

LeBron, however, wanted to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers, so his agent, Rich Paul, killed the deal.

Nonetheless, despite all that, ESPN insider Zach Lowe doesn’t think the Warriors are done pursuing him, not by a mile.

Talking to Mike Greenberg on Get Up, he stated that the Warriors are likely going to continue pushing in the offseason, as even Stephen Curry himself admitted that it wouldn’t hurt to pick up the phone and keep trying.

Unsurprisingly, Draymond Green encouraged team owner Joe Lacob to make a run at his friend.

They’re quite close and are often together on vacation, so people better expect that he’s going to be in his ear trying to make a run at him.

Still, a move like this could only hurt both of the players’ legacies.

Fans have often called out LeBron James for needing another superstar to win a championship, so one can only imagine what they would say if he actually teamed up with his nemesis.

As for Steph, he already proved himself after drawing criticism for not being able to win a Finals MVP award, but the fans could still take offense at his desire to team up with James.
