Over the past few years, the long-term future of superstar guard Damian Lillard has been put in question, with the Portland Trail Blazers struggling to compete in the Western Conference.

With the Blazers seemingly going nowhere with Lillard leading the charge, the team could be thinking it’s time to move on and explore trade options this summer, where there will likely be no shortage of interested teams.

However, on more than one occasion, Lillard has said that he doesn’t want to be traded and wants to figure out how to get over the hump in Portland.

Despite Lillard’s loyalty, the Blazers could do their due diligence on trying to find a trade partner, and the plot thickened recently with the perennial All-Star being seen sitting courtside at a Nets game.

“People want to connect the dots but there are no dots here, Dame is working on a new album and that’s why he was in NY, he also wanted to go to the Knicks-Cavs game but couldn’t get him tickets.”

Even if Lillard was in town to record an album, he knows full well that sitting courtside will create a lot of buzz around the league, especially if people believe he could be headed to the Knicks.

With Lillard coming off one of his best seasons on the professional level, the frustration must be mounting for the superstar guard as he could once again be thinking about his future in the league and whether his time in Portland should come to an end.

Only time will tell what may happen in Portland and if Lillard has grown tired enough of leading a mediocre squad with little hope of competing in the Western Conference in the future.
