The Portland Trail Blazers and Philadelphia 76ers are in a tough spot right now.
Damian Lillard and James Harden, respectively, want out of their teams, yet they don’t seem to be interested in fulfilling those wishes, at least not at this very moment.
There have been countless rumors and back and forth regarding potential transactions for these disgruntled stars.
However, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, there has been little-to-no talk about moving either of these players (via Dru).
“Woj reported the 76ers have ended trade talks involving Harden. What I would say—Ended what trade talks? I don’t think there’s any active trade talks in the NBA right now. Certainly not active for Dame Lillard. And I don’t think there’s anything active for Harden” @WindhorstESPN pic.twitter.com/QI3EDu7Gdc

Windhorst made it seem like Adrian Wojnarowski’s report of the Sixers ending talks to trade Harden wasn’t anything new, as there weren’t any active talks to begin with.
Truth be told, it’s hard to think of a team willing to give up what Daryl Morey wants in return for this version of James Harden.
Harden has taken things up a notch by publically calling out Morey by calling him a liar and stating that he will never play for any organization that has him on board.
He’s got a Master’s degree in making things uncomfortable and forcing his way out of teams when things don’t go his way.
As for Lillard, he’s reportedly still adamant about playing for the Miami Heat only, but the team has failed to make a compelling offer for his services.
The Blazers are reportedly hoping that Lillard will eventually change his mind and decide to run it back in Rip City, but after all he’s been through this offseason, that seems far from likely at this point.
