The Philadelphia Eagles’ season ended after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Losing in the Wild Card round was not expected of this team, especially after they started the season with a 10-1 record.

The Eagles collapsed in the second half of the season, leading to them only winning one of their last six games.

While there could have been several reasons for this collapse, many pointed to Nick Sirianni as the team’s biggest issue.

This made many fans believe that the team would fire him shortly after this loss, a decision that still appears to be up in the air.

Dianna Russini has recently reported that Sirianni is slated to meet with owner Jeffrey Lurie today, which could tell fans a lot.

Though this may suggest that Nick Sirianni is safe, I’m told he has not met with owner Jeffrey Lurie, something that was not possible today because of logistical issues.

The two have reportedly not yet met to discuss the season due to “logistical issues” that Russini highlights.

He could be out the door if Lurie determines that Sirianni was the prime reason for the team’s collapse.

If the team retains him, Sirianni is slated to help interview coordinators throughout the offseason, hoping to make the necessary changes to help the team succeed.

The next several weeks should be telling for the Eagles and the direction they decide to go with personnel.

Several other teams have fired their coaches this offseason, leaving many roles open for the taking.

If Sirianni is canned, the Eagles will be the latest job opening, one that could be tempting for a potential prospect, including someone like Jim Harbaugh or Bill Belichick, as both are seen as top candidates.
