Is Damian Lillard really going to be leaving the Portland Trail Blazers this summer?
That is the question that numerous NBA fans are asking as rumors around the sensational point guard have dried up and he remains in Oregon.
For weeks now, we have heard that Lillard wants out and hopes to land with the Miami Heat.
But for weeks now, nothing has come of this.
Shams Charania spoke about the current state of negotiations between Portland and Miami on “The Rally.”
“What I’m told Portland has told Miami is this: ‘Make your best offer to us,’” he said.

This sounds a lot like what we heard last week, and the week before that too.
The Blazers know that Lillard is eager to leave his team but they are not going to rush to sign any deal unless they really think they are getting something special from it.
At this point, Miami has brought forth at least one package, which was allegedly shot down by Portland.
Yet, the Trail Blazers are still telling the Heat to keep trying and to present their best bids.
How much longer will this go on?
Will the Blazers finally agree to what the Heat have on the table, even if it’s not the best-case scenario?
Or will they instead elect to keep Lillard, despite him being unhappy and unwilling to play?
We don’t know that but we do know they aren’t moving quickly and the offseason is speeding along.
Some people believe that this will eventually work itself out and that both sides will come to an agreement, with Portland receiving some young talent and a plethora of draft picks.
But as time goes on and the Blazers continue to shake their heads at all deals, the chance of Lillard still being in Portland next season becomes larger.
