After a 2022 season that saw them reach the NFC Championship, the San Francisco 49ers have picked up where they left off this year with wins in their first three games of the 2023 campaign.
The 49ers have a ton of playmakers on both sides of the ball, including All-Pro wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who is already off to an impressive start this season with 17 catches for 247 yards and one touchdown in addition to 48 rushing yards and another score on eight carries.
Unfortunately, Samuel left San Francisco’s win over the New York Giants last week a little banged up, and his status for the 49ers’ matchup against the Arizona Cardinals has been a bit uncertain.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, however, Samuel is expected to be in the lineup for San Franciso on Sunday despite being listed on the team’s injury report as questionable with a rib injury.
49ers’ WR Deebo Samuel, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a rib and knee injury, is expected to play vs. the Cardinals barring any pre-game setbacks, per source.

Even if the veteran wide receiver is unable to play for the 49ers on Sunday, they will still be the heavy favorite in their divisional matchup against Arizona.
At the same time, San Francisco shouldn’t take their Week 4 opponent lightly, as the Cardinals are coming off an upset victory over the Dallas Cowboys last week.
Arizona’s first two games of the season were also only decided by four points or less, so even in their losses, they’ve still managed to keep things competitive.
The 49ers should be well rested for Sunday’s matchup, though, as their last game was 10 days ago on Thursday Night Football against the Giants.
Will the extra rest help Deebo and San Francisco improve to 4-0 on the season on Sunday?
