The Cleveland Browns were without their two most important offensive players in their loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

RB Nick Chubb was already ruled out for the year, which is why not having QB Deshaun Watson under center made it a bit of an uphill battle for Kevin Stefanski’s team.

Notably, Watson reportedly decided not to play shortly before kickoff despite being medically cleared to be on the field.

He’s struggling with a shoulder injury, and his decision not to suit up reportedly rubbed some people the wrong way within the locker room.

Still, it seems like he’s dealing with more pain or limitations than originally reported, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network revealed that his status for Sunday’s clash vs. the San Francisco 49ers is still up in the air.

The Browns had an extra week to prepare and heal their bodies ahead of this game, but Watson continues to deal with this nagging injury.

It’s safe to say that Watson didn’t have much of a margin for error this season.

The Browns gave up a lot of valuable assets to get him and signed him to a fully-guaranteed deal that prompted plenty of criticism.

Nonetheless, he’s always been a tough player, so he must be really limited if he’s considering not playing vs. the Niners.

The Browns could reportedly lean toward starting veteran P.J. Walker over rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who struggled mightily in his first career start.

For now, it seems like he’ll be considered day-to-day and we’ll get more info as we approach kickoff time.
