On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, powered by the incredible stat line of 27 points, 25 rebounds, 5 assists, 7 steals, and 7 blocks from Anthony Davis.
It was a great night for the entire team and another impressive victory.
Writing for The Athletic, Jovan Buha talked about the growing confidence in the team and the way it’s helping them.
“The group’s confidence is as high as it’s been all season because of the results of the past week and the team’s sudden momentum in the standings,” Buha wrote.
The Lakers found a way to wrap up an eventful week by winning for the third time in four games against some of the NBA’s best teams, thanks in part to Anthony Davis’ dominant performance against Minnesota.@jovanbuha on a resurgent week for Los Angeles https://t.co/ifvqK1iu0K pic.twitter.com/ShE5Jvv5kN

Buha noted that the Lakers have won three of their last four games, beating the Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, and finally the Timberwolves.
They are coming to the end of perhaps their toughest stretch of the entire season and they have done quite well, going 5-of-8 against some incredibly hard competition.
When this period of games began, many fans were worried about how things would go.
There was a chance that the Lakers could have slipped much further down in the standings.
Instead, they have remained resilient and only suffered a few losses.
The team’s confidence is growing, and so is the confidence of loyal fans.
They are hoping the Lakers are starting a run similar to what they did last year when they were one of the best teams in the league in the last few weeks and then pushed to the Western Conference Finals.
Are the Lakers about to do the same thing again?
They have to stay consistent, and that has been a problem for this team all season long.
Next, they face the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, and Atlanta Hawks.
They are currently hanging onto the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 36-30 record.
Where will this newfound confidence get them by the end of the week?
