The Minnesota Vikings are in a rebuild; of that, there is no question.
When the team takes the field this fall, it will have a new quarterback, ball carriers, and many new defenders, but one position is rock solid.
The Vikings are loaded with pass catchers, from the newly extended Justin Jefferson to young tight end T.J. Hockenson.
And there is another target for the quarterback to look for who may be flying under the radar as prognosticators peer ahead to the new season.
NFL insider Albert Breer revealed via The Purple Persuasion that he has his eyes on one Vikings player who commands close attention in 2024, Jordan Addison.
The 2023 first-round wide receiver had a stellar rookie campaign, snatching 70 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Breer believes the bar is set high for the young wideout, who he describes as having returned “physically stronger in April while maintaining the burst and body control” that led Minnesota to draft him so high last year.
He also noted the Vikings’ wealth of talent and how easy it is to visualize Addison developing into a No. 1 target—even with Jefferson in the fold.
Pairing those two wideouts with Hockenson creates a matchup nightmare for defensive coordinators.
In today’s pass-happy NFL, there is a high value placed on dangerous aerial weapons.
This was clearly demonstrated with the mammoth $140 million contract extension Jefferson recently signed that completely reset the market for pass catchers.
And with a now-experienced Addison lining up with Jefferson, Minnesota looks to create matchup problems all over the field.
