The San Francisco 49ers’ situation with Brandon Aiyuk seems to get more elevated every day.
Aiyuk, of course, has expressed interest in leaving the team, as both sides have been unable to agree to a contract extension.
It appears that he wants to get a top-tier contract, one that the 49ers, at least publically, have been unwilling to give him.
At one point in the offseason, it felt like Aiyuk was going to stick around with the 49ers, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
Recent reports have highlighted that Aiyuk is increasingly likely to get traded, and Mike Garafolo named the three most likely teams for him to go to in a segment of “The Insiders” on NFL Network.
“We’ve had the Patriots mentioned, we’ve had the Browns mentioned, and we’ve had the Steelers mentioned,” Garafolo said.

The New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be the top three destinations for Aiyuk.
Garafolo also mentioned the Washington Commanders as a potential landing spot given his relationship with Jayden Daniels, but as of now, they have fallen off the radar.
Aiyuk has continued to prove himself on the field, and whether it’s the 49ers or another team, he wants to get paid what he believes he is worth.
With Justin Jefferson’s recent record-setting contract fresh in his mind, Aiyuk will likely not settle for anything but the best, making this situation that much more difficult between him and his potential suitors.
