In the first round of the NBA playoffs, the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder made easy work of Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and company pulled off the sweep with relative ease and put the league on notice that they could be for real in the postseason.
However, in the second round, an inexperienced Thunder squad faced a battle-tested veteran team led by the superstar duo of Luke Doncic and Kyrie Irving, who, in the end, proved to be too much to handle, as Oklahoma City lost in six games.
Although the Thunder went home empty-handed after an incredible and unexpectedly successful 2023-24 campaign, the future is bright in Oklahoma City, and this up-and-coming squad will have a chance to get even better during the offseason with moves they can make to improve the roster moving forward.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Thunder might have three targets in mind this summer, with the emphasis on size and crashing the glass next season, as Nic Claxton, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Jonas Valanciunas have been linked to the team, via NBACentral.

With the Thunder needing a presence in the paint, which was sorely lacking throughout the NBA playoffs this year, landing one of these three players would be a solid improvement for Oklahoma City.
Clearly, the team is prioritizing the frontcourt this summer, and that seems like the smart move, as bringing in one of these three big men could be the missing piece in the championship puzzle for the Thunder.
