The Los Angeles Lakers are getting closer and closer to making at least one trade in hopes of improving their troubled track record.
Most people agree that LA will do something, but no one is sure what choices they will make.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” NBA insider Shams Charania mentioned a few players who could be suiting up in purple and gold in a few weeks.
“The Lakers are doing their due diligence. Dejounte Murray, Bruce Brown Jr., Tyus Jones, Terry Rozier, I’m told those are names to keep an eye on,” Charania said.

The inclusion of Murray, currently of the Atlanta Hawks, isn’t surprising at all.
In fact, he seems to be the player most likely to move to LA and has been attached to rumors about the team for a couple of weeks now.
The Lakers and Hawks have discussed a trade around Murray that is currently on hold but it could come back to life before the February 8 trade deadline.
Brown has become a hot commodity since being traded to the Toronto Raptors recently and the Lakers are just one of several teams keeping tabs on him.
As for Jones and Rozier, their inclusion on this list means the Lakers are definitely considering tweaking their backcourt and providing new help to play off of LeBron James.
D’Angelo Russell’s future with the Lakers has been in question recently and the fact that they are looking at Jones and Rozier makes it clear that he really could be leaving LA soon.
The Lakers will have their work cut out for them no matter which player they pursue.
They may have to say goodbye to Russell and other players and future draft picks too.
Rob Pelinka obviously has his work cut out for him.
