The Indianapolis Colts granted star RB Jonathan Taylor permission to seek a trade.

And while most people thought it would be a slow market for him, considering how mistreated running backs have been over the past couple of years, that hasn’t been the case at all.

According to multiple reports, as many as six teams have shown an interest in trading for the disgruntled star.

And surprisingly, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network told Rich Eisen that the Denver Broncos could be a landing spot (via Broncos Avenue).

The Broncos had reportedly been keen to make a move for Dalvin Cook.

But the interest didn’t materialize, and he wound up signing with the New York Jets instead.

Notably, HC Sean Payton has always favored a strong running game, so adding a guy like Taylor makes sense.

The Broncos know they don’t have a lot of margin for error after the dreadful season they had last year.

They committed a lot of money to Russell Wilson to try and keep up with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, and they looked far from a contending team last season.

Adding a player of Taylor’s caliber would add another dimension to a struggling offense, not to mention he’d take a lot of pressure off Wilson’s shoulders.

Whether the Broncos will want to sign Taylor to the extension he’s looking for remains to be seen.
